Ronda (A Love That Never Was)

During a nerve-wrecking semester back in 2015 I became mesmerized by a particular young lady.
She stood at the average height of 5,2.
  Her weight differed between 160-180lbs.
At first she rocked a short hairstyle and than she went to braids.
Personality wise this girl was like a fox (eyes and the whole nine yards).
The only icing on the cake was her vanilla complexion.
For those that don't know her name was Ronda.
We had the same psychology class but we never spoke to each other.
A move had to be made fast.
Finally one was made in late May.

On a nice sunny afternoon I saw Ronda sitting on the floor near our scheduled classroom.
She was on her phone either talking to a friend or on social media.
I knew I had to move on her and quickly.
Eventually getting her attention I tried to ask her out.
I don't remember what I did or said but I put a lot of effort in it.
She smiled a bit but her response to my hand was null and void.

Some time the following week I gave Ronda a letter titled after her name.
This letter was about my regrets of not taking advantage of the time I had to chase after her.
Blood, sweat, and tears went into that letter.
Sitting down with another classmate I see Ronda storming off down the nearest stairway.
It was than that I realized that she told me that she was already spoken for.
